Tribe Calls 3PM Presser to Announce 7-Year Deal for Carmona
The Indians have announced they have inked a pitcher - but not veteran and Cy Young award winner C.C. Sabathia. Instead, they have signed youngster Fausto Carmona to a deal that will keep him in a Tribe uni till 2014. Carmona signs a deal that could keep him an Indian for up to seven years, with the last three years of the deal being individual club options for 2012, 13 and 14. The announcement of Carmona’s deal will come at 3pm today at Progressive Field. We will be there and have the complete press conference on the site later this afternoon.
